First Day at Chancellorsville Battlefield Hike

We love taking hikes around various parks and battlefields throughout Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania. Today’s specific location is the First Day at Chancellorsville Battlefield and it is located right next to the new location of the Spotsylvania Museum (https://www.spotsylvania.va.us/898/Museum) at 6159 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22407. It is a really easy 3.4 mile loop trail that is great for walking, biking, or even jogging. The sunsets are really amazing here! There is always a good chance to see some wildlife and it is an enjoyable hike for the whole family. The trail is dog friendly but they must be kept on a lease. Make sure after you finish that you stop at The Battlefield Country for some refreshing ice cream or an awesome sandwich. Let me know what you think of this trail!
